Day 19: July 27, 2019
Time had been ticking since evening day before tomorrow, it was stretched thin when yesterday morning I reached Delhi and checked into a hotel, but the crushing sense of reality check painfully asserted itself and dealt its deadly blow only when I was forced to check out of the hotel as per policy well before my train time. And so I was left with no other move but go to the station and book myself a long lingering wait of five hours at the A/C waiting lounge. There could be no surer way of telling myself that the surreal escapade was finally over. It was now time to come back to the real world with its harsh home truths of getting a work that paid money into my pockets to replenish the leaked away capital which had allowed me my flight of fancy for the last three weeks.
